Construction of waterports in Alexandroupolis and Samothrace

The Development Company of Evros S.A. is pleased to announce the signing of a contract with the company Greek Waterairports for the creation of waterports in Alexandroupolis and Samothrace. 

On Friday 28 June 2024, in Athens, a contract was signed between the Evros Development Company S.A. and the company Greek Waterairports.

The first test flight by seaplane on the Alexandroupoli - Samothrace route is scheduled to take place at the end of August. This is an important step towards enhancing the tourist and economic development of the region, providing new possibilities for travel and helping to attract visitors.

The creation of waterways is expected to offer multiple benefits to both residents and tourists, facilitating transport and enhancing connectivity between the two destinations.
